NoICE is a lightweight, Windows-based source-level debugger and in‑circuit monitor for classic 8‑ and 16‑bit microcontrollers. It pairs a tiny monitor on the target with a host-side UI to let you set breakpoints, single‑step through code, inspect and modify registers and memory, view disassembly or mixed source/disassembly, and download programs over simple links such as serial or BDM. Supporting a range of families (for example, 8051, 68HC11/12, 6809, AVR, and others) and integrating with common assemblers and C toolchains, NoICE is well suited for board bring‑up, education, and maintaining legacy embedded systems. Its focus on low overhead and clear target visibility makes it a dependable choice for lab benches and field diagnostics.

NoICE is developed by John Hartman. The most popular version of this product among our users is 9.4. The names of program executable files are NoICE11.exe, NoICE12.exe and NoICE85.exe.
